Moment to Moment

First Person Point of View. Subjective experience. It's really quite remarkable. I think about it so much. I want to understand it. I was talking to a friend from Americorps today about it who is similarly preoccupied, but his looks at things from a spiritual perspective. I'm much more of am impericist, but I accept his quest as "valid." (Admittedly, I think mine will ultimately matter more in the scheme of things.) We seem to have a moment to moment existence, releasing each second in time and embracing the next. We have no direct access to moments that came before, but we have memories, a grand evolutionary tool that has enabled us to be the great creatures that we are today. Imagine, though, that we were not spread out over time, but rather, could experience all of time at once, much the way we see space laid out before us on planes. Minds are truly wonderful entities, and I want to know as much about them as possible.

Tomorrow I will take math test. It's nine thirty-nine and I haven't yet started to study for it. I guess I won't be sleeping tonight. I gotta do what I gotta do.

When one person thinks you have a problem, you might not have a problem. When everyone thinks you've got a problem, maybe things aren't as much in control as you think. What's become of me? I think I'm okay, but is there something wrong that I just don't see? I've burned a few bridges. I've made a few decisions that I'm starting to regret. Things are getting overwhelming.

I know what I want to do. I don't know what I want to do.
I don't know where I'm going. I know where I'm going.
I've learned a lot in recent years. I know nothing.
I experience symmetry. I was born in obscurity.
