One week down, one to go. Hopefully Oishi-sama can refrain from worrying working himself to death for that long.

On the topic of Oishi-sama, I've figured out gifts for everyone on my list except for him. And with everything I've put him through, and his paying for my violin lessons, I can't just get him another plant for his fish or something like that, but I don't know what he likes. Well, I know he likes Eiji, but I can't really give him Eiji.

I'll figure something out - at least he's the one person for whom I don't need to decide things in advance.

Though this apprenticeship was extraordinarily well timed in that it gave me the opportunity to figure out what on earth I was supposed to get for Kabaji-san.

Oishi-sama, I know the Headmaster sent a butler to take my place, please let him do his job, alright? It's only for a week, and you need to focus on your studies. Thank goodness I left some tips

After a fair amount of searching, I think I've managed to find gifts for everyone on my list - I'll need to go down to the village to get some supplies for a few things once I'm done apprenticing, but it shouldn't take too long. And it looks as though everything will get here in time to give to those who are leaving earlier.

On that note, Oishi-sama, when are we heading out ourselves? I assume we're staying for the ball, but how soon after that do we leave? I'd like to know when I will be needing to devote time to packing for us.

gifts, apprenticeship, winter break, private entry
