currently reading Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood.

I never did finish Portnoys Complaint I never really got into it and it just seemed a little too spastic for me and didn't have a point. This guy's mom drove him crazy so he just whacked off all the time and had strange sex preferences. Not my cup of tea.

Let me know what you think of Alias Grace... I own it, but haven't read it yet. It may get moved up in the queue with a good recommendation. :)

By the way, are you still on AIM at all? If you're interested in some mp3s, find me ('platapescado'). I promised you a list of classical pieces ages ago... maybe I can redeem myself by sending you the music itself instead.

Hope you're well, dear...

I'm usually on in the evenings after work, as early as 6pm (EST) and as late as 1am (though I try to be "good" and go to bed by midnight so I can get up early). I spend most nights sitting at my computer, so hopefully I'll run into you soon... :)

I notice I forgot to mention ALias Grace was good but I was disappointed at the ending. I liked it better and it frustrated me less than some other Atwood novels I've read. I'm still not sure what I Think of her so far I just prefer her poems.

I know that The Edible Woman is core reading for a lot of women's studies classes, and that is my least favorite book of Atwood's that I've read so far. (I liked Cat's Eye the most, followed by The Blind Assassin. I read The Handmaid's Tale eons ago, and don't remember it well, though I remembered liking it. I used to have the hots for Aidan Quinn, so I liked that movie, too). Perhaps I'll move Alias Grace up in the queue... :)
