I would like to respectfully point out too all the smug adults who refer to teenagers in this way: you have hormones.

From when you're a baby to old age. You've probably heard of them: insulin and oxytocin, adrenalin and cortisol, human growth factor and yes, testosterone/estrogen/progesterone. And you need them--to regulate your body's responses, to keep your blood sugar levels in the livable range, to trigger all sorts of functions that are regulated without a thought. To regulate digestion. To trigger water reabsorption so you don't pee litres and litres every day.
Stop sniggering about the way hormonal girls are such and such. You have them too. *indistinct noise*
