Hurray for Greek-symbols-that-have-survived-thousands-of-years-in-our-math-and-science-fields! Rejoice for the last elements of Classical civilization still present in our society! (I mean, without their use in the math/science fields, we wouldn't really use these symbols; maybe if you went through Classical studies or something. Certainly you wouldn't hear about omega-3-fatty acids...)
Personally, I think there ought to be an e day, for Euler's number. I mean, it's just as important, isn't it? It can be on February 7th every year at one o'clock.
