I often find inspiration in lyrics from songs. Today's inspiration has the following message:
Hey, go heavy on the good and light on the bad,
A hair more happy and a shade less sad.
Turn all that negative down just a tad:

I get to see Erika today, though the reason that she is suddenly in Minneapolis is the result of sad tidings. So, I'm looking forward to seeing her, but sad for why she is here.
I've been working a little on my masters project today, so that's good. As I've been sitting here, I've been having the urge to start packing to move home :-) I know that I just need to be patient because summer will be here very soon! I have a fair amount of purging of stuff to do before I move home so that I don't drag junk half way across the country and then decide I don't actually want it. What do you guys think about keeping old bills and bank statements? I frequently get annoyed at how much space they take up and just want to shred them and send them away. But, I know it used to be you're supposed to keep crap like that...
I need to find a watch repair person here in MN to take a link out of my watch, the band on the wrist has gotten too loose and it keeps wanting to spin around to the bottom of my wrist and get caught on things. Wearing a watch has been kind of funny. I keep forgetting that it tells time and isn't just a fancy bracelet, so I usually check my phone for the time first :-)
It's quite nice and sunny here today in the twin cities. We're up to a super high temp of 27 degrees! It's actually warm and sunny enough that the snow is melting and other than the gross stuff in the snow being revealed, I am really happy that the sidewalks are a little less slippery.
