i dont know for how long i can write through this entry. my "blogging" skills have fallen into a kind of disrepair, beyond my ability to restore them. this is me "wiggling my big toe" as the bride so aptly put it in kill bill, vol 1. but, unlike her, i dont have a profound sense of revenge fueling my resurrection. all i have is a vast sense of boredom, and forty minutes to kill. its kind of embarrassing that the only thing motivating me to do anything at all right now is my dislike of idleness, inability to take a comfortable nap where others can watch me sleep, refusal to watch freaks and geeks anywhere but at mine or anyones home(i might laugh really loudly...or snort...or something horrible like that).
so, here i am. typing to fill the vaccuum of time i have scheduled for myself.
umm...a joke?? a horse walks into a bar and has a seat at the bar. the bartender says, "hey buddy, why the long face?"
there, i made myself laugh outloud and others looked at me. curses.
shane and i were driving around the other evening, enjoying the imminent close of the day and the pleasant rest of idle company, and found our way into harrodsburg. its really not that far at all from frankfort (some 35 minutes down HWY 127) and drove past -- i kid you not -- an active drive-in theatre. well from that point, it was on like donkey kong. we were like two little 7 yr olds on their way to showbiz pizza (not chucky "stinky" cheeze). we did some investigating and found that tickets were $5 per person for two films!! thats...$2-something a movie!! unfortunately, they were playing shirry movies, so we didnt stay but vowed to return when they were playing non-shirry movies. we also vowed to buy the theater itself, and to love one another till the dusky twilight of reality rends asunder the luminant...something something something. we were giddy like school girls, remember. but we WILL go back to the theater. in separate cars. with lots of girls. wearing football jerseys.
that entire experience prefaced a rather dull weekend. i didnt work at all, and spent most of my time watchin x-play (my new addiction)and totally crushing on co-host morgan webb. im fragile you see, and iv never been able to draw a clear line between fiction and reality (as evidenced by my struggle to choose between steadfast, childhood Saria, or love-of-my-life Zelda from Ocarnia of Time). in any case, movies were watched, tv were watched, tv-movies were watched (im only kidding on account of they suck hard), and some homework was done. oh, and i helped build a stage-set for frankfort high's upcoming production of...umm...i have no idea. all i did was hold 2x4's so someone else could screw them into doorways and stairs. i doubt he reall even needed my help, but i was bored, and gas is too expensive to make wanton trips to lexington or louisville.
i suppose thats all from me. iv successfully wasted some twenty minutes, and have that much less time to wait until i am active agayn. i think ill go watch some strongbad emails. sounds like a gas!!
au revoir.
