The air was particularly cold tonight.
Echo noted that fact with clinical detahcment, as, of course, she didn't feel the cold except as an abstract sensor reading. But the air, being as cold and still as it was, meant that the stars were clearly visible, despite the vibirant glow of light pollition from the nearby city.
The moon in particular was especially bright tonight, it's shining silver light almost a match for Echo's own paintwork.
It was beautiful outside, but it was also quite lonely.
It was the sound of crunching gravel reaching her aural sensors that first alerted her. Quickly flicking on her scanners, she realised that it was, in fact, Michael Knight, who was wandering aimlessly down one of the long gravel driveways.
Echo keyed her quiet engine and drove slowly towards him.
"Michael? What are you doing out so late? Are you all right?" She asked, her voice soft and gentle.
