Aww, yay!!! BTW, the "crack theory" supposes a relationship of a less than professional nature between DS and MD...whatever you take that to mean. :p

One minute I was thinking, ok, maybe he's not that nice after all, he's pretty stcuk up. Then Mary shows up and he runs after her and I liked him again, then I thought he was a bit of an idiot with how he treated Molesley, but then he showed Mary up twice, which was fun, and had a good talking to from Robert and made peace with Molesley.

That's fascinating. :D I love the idea that how he treated Mary could influence how you perceived him. I actually sympathized with him in the Moseley story, but it's neat to see how different people perceive the same thing.

(And I had no idea you watched all three at once -- you watched them while they were still airing, right -- October 2010?)

I think in episode 3, when it felt like they were maybe pushing Edith/Matthew, I did wonder if I'd been a little hasty in my sudden shipping obsession

Aww, wow!!! I forget, did you ever think they would go with Sybil/Matthew (I know we discussed this at length...two years ago, but my memory isn't what it once was ;p )

I do want to see Vamps though, partly because he's in it and partly out of sheer curiousity!

OMG, it's not good. Like, AT ALL. It's really not funny. There's one amazing joke I'm convinced is a DA in-joke with his character, which was the only time I laughed. :/

To me, I think it shows Matthew had a pretty good grasp of her character and how contrary she could be. I think it shows he already saw the real Mary, at least much more than others, and loved her for who she was,

Awwww!!! Considering that was a theme of the last M/M scene ever, that's really lovely to think about. :( That he could see the "true Mary," even back then... And I'd like to think he saw it all through the war, but put it down to her goodness of character, not the fact that she loved him. But AWWWW!!! :(

Can't WAIT for the rest of your answers -- I'm just so flattered you're doing this!!! :D

Ahhh, ok, I get the crack theory. I'll say what I think about that when the day comes.

Speaking of days, I think I may cheat and do a few days at once every few days. I hope that's ok.

And I watched them about a month after the first series aired. I'd recorded the whole series off TV and so watched the first 3 episodes in one go, then the next three a few days later and then made myself wait a day for episode 7. Then, the obsession really began! LOL!

As for Sybil/Matthew - no, I never thought they would really do that, other than a mild worry, but then when you ship an OTP like I shipped M/M, I think you do worry about things you are pretty sure won't happen! LOL!

And glad you liked my answers. I do think they're going to fall more on the M/M side than just Matthew side. I do love both characters individually, but I love them as a ship so, so much more! It kinda influences everything else really.

And I'm still tempted to watch Vamps, just to see how bad, bad is! LOL!
