So, I registered for classes for Winter Quarter today. There is no way that three months have gone by already, is there? I want those ten weeks back, dammit! No, scratch that, I don't-- I *really* don't want to take Schliech's chemistry lecture again. My friend Anna calls it "Sisyphean torture in the form of a lecture". Sounds about right.
Despite my dismay over how fast this quarter went (I was *just* settling into a nice routine, and now my schedule changes again? Snert), I'm looking forward to Winter Quarter. I got my two "fluff" classes out of the way, and am looking forward to sinking my teeth into some more in-depth material. So far, I got into my Intro to Programming: Java class, and Linguistics 101. Super-excited about the Java class-- my only experience with the thing is from a web design perspective, and I'm looking forward to learning it from a programming point of view.
Oh, did I mention that I'm double-majoring? Yep: Linguistics and Computer Science. Fun combination, no? Lots o' humanities and math classes in my future. I'd be a little frightened of the math classes, but I've got
songcoyote,
rimblemethis , and
chiendarrendor to help me. I think I'm set in terms of Comp Sci tutors. :D
Also really looking forward to winter break. It'll be a great time to recharge and regroup before my new classes start, and I can't wait to see all my friends from the East Bay again! I love Santa Cruz, but *damn* do I miss people.
