Hello All...
sorry that I have taken such a vaction from LJ... I seems like it was just yesterday that I was posting 8 times a day... le sigh... the joy of summer time.
School is great.
Work is great.
Ypsi is great.
Life is going well. Very well indeed. THE MOST exciting thing for me right now is my approaching trip to Russia. YAY! They sent me my agenda for the week, and I thought I'd share that with you!!

Tuesday, September 28
Depart home cites for St. Petersburg, Russia
As a group we will all be departing from JKF airport on Lufthansa Airlines and connecting thru Frankfurt, Germany on our way to Russia. We will arrive in St. Petersburg the afternoon of Wednesday, September 29th.
Wednesday, September 29
01:45pm Arrival and transfer from Pulkovo Airport to the St. Petersburg Renaissance Baltic Hotel
04:30pm Exploration of Yusupovsky Palace with dinner to follow at the
Yusupovsky Palace restaurant also known as “the Noble Nest.”
Suggested Attire: Evening wear with jackets for the men and comfortable shoes for all as we will be walking quite a bit before dinner
Thursday, September 30
Suggested Attire: Business casual
Please enjoy the breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant at your leisure.
10:00am Tour to Pushkin
02:30pm Lunch at Dacha Kochubeiya
05:00pm Arrive back at the hotel
07:00pm Russian Folk Show and dinner at
Nikolaevsky Palace

10:00am The State Hermitage Museum of St. Petersburg
02:00pm Caviar and vodka tasting followed by lunch at The Old Customs House
For the remainder of the afternoon and evening, you will be the special guest of Stolichnaya Vodka.
Saturday, October 2
Suggested Attire: Business casual (We will be walking around outside so please wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket or sweater for warmth.)

10:00am See the sights of St. Petersburg including the Fortress of St. Peter and St. Paul
02:00pm Lunch cruise on Neva River with traditional Russian entertainment
The remainder of the afternoon is yours to enjoy and explore.
07:00pm Pre-dinner cocktails with light hors‘d oeuvres at the Canvas Restaurant in the St. Petersburg Renaissance Baltic Hotel
08:00pm Fond Farewell dinner in the Canvas Restaurant

11:15am Group transfer to the Pulkovo Airport
02:55pm Flight departs for the US
07:25pm Flight arrives at JFK
Some of you will be departing on connecting flights for your home cities. Others, due to the lateness of our arrival, will make their connections the morning of 10/4/04. Hotel arrangements have been made at the Courtyard by Marriott at the JFK Airport. There is a shuttle that runs between the hotel and the airport for your transfer in the morning.
