Weekend and after
Well this was an interesting weekend. I received word late last week that the Barony of Bridge down in RI decided to open a tavern for a one day event. I arrived around 2pm after trying to follow the directions that were on the site and finding that RT 116 goes north and south not east and west and that while directions had stated look for exit 116 east you really wanted to go south which was actually headed west. I found 2 friendly State Troopers that helped me discover where I really wanted to go and we all had the same cell phone which was kinda funny. they didn't even seem too nervous about talking to a guy carrying a broad sword on the front seat of his car. got to the event anf it was a blast. Kidnapped a few wenches to make some money from their Lords. Hey a rogue has to do something to get gold tygers. Made only about 30 though so was not gonna win th ebig prize, bar wench collected over 500 in tips. Should have kidnapped her, but was under age. finally stumbled out about 11pm and headed home.
Rested most of sunday after doing laundry cause i was going to have to gwt up at 4am to drive to boston to work for the Marathon.
Marathon Monday: wow, great day. Weather was beautiful. I was a shadow(I followed a race offical around in case anyone needed to reach them). Overall I just passed messages back and forth and stayed as close to them as I could. Didn't see any of the actual race, but got to go around behind the scenes everywhere. Next year I am going to do it again and have already checked with the person i worked with to see if they want me back as their shadow.
