Been meaning to update more frequently. 17 days since my last post...lol, maybe that Is frequent for me.
I just did my first official post for my dad's blog. It's on band. (www.richardhowe.com). I had written up a couple of posts for him, but now I have a login and am an official contributer. Kinda exciting.
I mentioned U2 in my last post. I have "No Line on the Horizon" now. I think it's actually their best album, but I know most people probably disagree with me on that.
I'm enjoying this spring break thing, though I've been doing work for two days now...got quite a bit more to get through. It's nice to just crash for a week though...have what? 5 weeks of classes left? Then reading period and finals...done on the 20th, maybe the 19th, of May.
The medication I went on a few weeks ago has seemed to help, but I'm still sick most of the time. I felt great on Saturday, but haven't been doing too well since, though I figured out the pork I had a couple nights was making me sick. It's probably an additive since I'm fine with ham, but I'm pretty sure the bacon at school was making me sick too. At least I know to avoid it now. This medicine makes me really sleepy...it's hard to wake up in the morning. I overslept a lot...late to class a few times, had to skip breakfast a few times. That's the most common side effect, and I'm still increasing dosages. Beyond that...ehh...see how I feel when I get the pork from last night out of my system.
Went in for Districts on Friday and Saturday. That was a lot of fun. And yes, I actually did work on Saturday. All the fun of carrying clouds and risers. I lied when I said I didn't miss it. I haven't had that much fun in...I don't even remember. It certainly helped that I was feeling good.
I met went a biofeedback expert before break. Effectively a shrink. I've been sick for almost 19 months now. This is to help me relax and, when I have some sort of attack/get sicker, deal with the stress of that (therefore not making myself sicker). I got hooked up to a machine...definitely wound up way too tight.
Oh, so I got my housing assignment on Thursday. Cabot House!!! Wooo! I'm a fish now. It's in the quad...so no convenience of the river houses. But! That means I get much nicer housing all three years as compensation for the inconvenience of the quad's location. As in singles for life! Woo! What I kinda found exciting was that the Cabot family took their family coat of arms from the French Chabot family, since they didn't have one of their own. Chabot is my mom's maiden name. So I guess I get to keep that coat of arms lol. A coincidence that makes you wonder if the housing assignment process is actually random.
Been reading two great books by Jeff Shaara. Rise to Rebellion and The Glorious Cause. They're about the Revolutionary War. Both are great.
I want warm weather. This teasing thing is annoying. Of course, once it gets hot out, I'm going to miss the cold since the dorms don't have air conditioning. Shrug. Warm weather has a nice psychological impact.
Well, I guess that's it for now. I'll try to post more often, not that there's much activity on my friends page.
