“Yoh, Kyuhyun-ah! Here!” Someone shouted against the noise in the club. Kyuhyun looked up and found a waving hand standing out from the population in the club he just went into. He exhaled a sigh of relief when he found his group of friends.

“Finally, some people who are normal.” Kyuhyun thought exaggeratedly. He approached the table, greeting its occupants either with high-five or a nod. He sat at one chair, beside the one who just wave at him then grabbed a bottle of beer.

“Finally, the zombie has finally been awakened.” Someone remarked, letting out a devilish smirk.

“Not now Heechul hyung… I’m not in the mood for your princess act.” Kyuhyun hissed with a glare. Heechul scoffed and huddled with his lover just beside him not forgetting to retort back, “You’re no fun at all…”

“Sssh~ let him be Chul-ah…” Hankyung, Heechul’s Chinese lover said then turned to Kyuhyun who was drinking his beer, “But you are rather grumpy today, Kyuhyun…” Hankyung said with concern.

“Sorry hyung… but I have been having a hell of weeks since New Year’s Eve.” Kyuhyun admitted after remembering his first encounter with Sungmin, causing him to scrunch his nose.

“What happened? We haven’t seen you around lately.” Ryeowook who was older than him by almost a year asked.

“Business Wookie…”Kyuhyun said in a matter-of-fact tone and then added hesitantly after a second thought, “I guess?”

“I passed by your shop 2 days ago hoping to get a present for my niece but it was closed. The signboard said it won’t be open again till after 5 months. Are you moving or something?” Yesung, Ryeowook’s lover asked.

“Oh no no… well, I’m doing another business… or some sort?” Kyuhyun said having second thoughts if he said it right. He wasn’t sure if what he was saying made any sense at all. He wasn’t definite on how to explain his current situation with Sungmin to them and he didn’t want to admit it to his friends either.

“Dude, I went to your apartment complex and the landlady there said you weren’t home for weeks. Where have you been hiding?” Changmin asked.

“Oh. Uhm…” Kyuhyun stammered. He had been slightly busted. But hell he didn’t want them to know about a single thing about Sungmin and his so-called ‘imprisonment’.

“Wait, don’t tell me you-“ Changmin gasped with wide-eyes, staring at Kyuhyun suspiciously. Everyone looked at him expectantly of his conclusion and that was the same reaction Kyuhyun made with one of his eyebrows raising up. “Are you living in another house with someone already?”

SPUUUURT!

“Ewww, Kyuhyun! Watch yourself!” Changmin whined after Kyuhyun spat a mouthful of beer in his face.

“Ugh, sorry *cough* about that!” Kyuhyun apologized as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. “Thanks!” He said to Ryeowook who handed him a tissue.

“Are you okay? You sure are acting strange.” Ryeowook commented earning a grimace from Kyuhyun in response. Heechul eyed Kyuhyun up and down as a smirk played on his lips.

“You are hiding something, maknae.” Heechul commented and everyone looked from Kyuhyun to Heechul and back to Kyuhyun again.

“What are you t-talking about h-hyung?” Kyuhyun said trying to sound as calm as possible but that didn’t go unnoticed by Heechul’s eyes. Kyuhyun could easily lie about certain things but nothing could really escape Heechul’s really observant eyes. Kyuhyun took a sip of beer from his bottle and when he heard no reply from Heechul, he looked up meeting Heechul’s unshaken stare. Kyuhyun raised an eyebrow and Heechul did the same that showed full of confidence. Heechul knew so well if he had won.

“Alright! Alright!” Kyuhyun hissed. He really hated it when Heechul won their little game.

“Good, I was waiting to hear a good story.” Heechul remarked.

“It’s not for entertainment purposes hyung!” Kyuhyun shouted and everyone looked at him with a surprised look on their faces except for Heechul. Kyuhyun wasn’t the type to explode unless the topic really ticked him off.

“Calm down, Kyuhyun.” Ryeowook said and Kyuhyun relaxed a little. With a big sigh, he looked at everyone, one by one, from Ryeowook’s worried face to Yesung’s expectant eyes, Hankyung’s calm composure, Heechul’s stare of warning and lastly, to Changmin’s tipsy and goofy face, and Kyuhyun decided that it was time they found out.

“I give up… I’ll tell you… I’ll tell you…” He sighed in surrender. Heechul’s smirk grew wider and more mocking. Kyuhyun pouted and landed his eyes somewhere to avoid looking at their soon to be shocked faces. “I sold myself…” he said shyly.

“You what?” Heechul asked, raising his eyebrows. Kyuhyun looked at Heechul with a pout, hoping his aegyo powers would work on the oldest but to his dismay, Heechul didn’t budge. “You what Kyuhyun?” Heechul singsong-ed.

“I kind of sold myself.” Kyuhyun rephrased.

“Eh?” Everyone was shocked except Heechul.

“How come?”

“Are you serious?”

“To whom? When?”

“I never knew we could sell ourselves. Wookie, can I sell myself too?”

Everyone looked at Yesung unbelievably because of the weird comment he said despite the seriousness of the issue, even the tipsy Changmin didn’t even think of something like that.

“But really, Kyuhyun, are you broke or something? You could just ask us for help. You know we won’t hesitate to help. It’s just not like you to be so desperate up to the extent that you’d sell yourself.” Ryeowook quickly got back to the topic.

“Of course, it’s not my fault… it’s just that this weird rich guy came to me on New Year’s Eve and it happened…” Kyuhyun said. Everyone gasped except the HanChul couple who seemed calm about the events in Kyuhyun’s life.

“And then you did ‘it’ in the New Year’s Eve?” Changmin asked wide eyed.

“Yeah… we did-“ Kyuhyun answered and paused eyeing Changmin suspiciously. Changmin looked at him with a shocked expression which hinted something fishy. “Say what? What do you mean by ‘it’, Shim Changmin?” Kyuhyun snarled.

“You know, the bed thingy… the one those couples do~” Changmin said, pointing his lips towards the couples in their group and then grinned, raising his eyebrows back to Kyuhyun.

“The hell! Of course not!” Kyuhyun shouted. Good thing the music was loud enough to muffle his shout from the other people.

“Well, you did say you sold yourself so the first thing that came to our minds was that you did “IT”” Ryeowook explained. Well, honestly Kyuhyun was used to gay relationships; he even knew what they did in their private time. After all he was friends with gays. He was probably the only one in the group who was still unsure of his gender preferences. He had crushed on some girls and had a few relationships before but he hadn’t made up his mind on liking the same gender and he thought that Sungmin wasn’t a bad candidate but he’d rather deny that small fact, after all the experiences he hand in Sungmin’s wrath..

“I sell my services but not my body. I am some sort of a slave and a property.. something like that.” he clarified though he couldn’t remove the blush on his face.

“It’s still the same… after all, being slave can lead for the master asking for something more.” Heechul insisted with an evil smirk.

“Hyung! You’re not helping~” Kyuhyun whined, gulping down the remains of his beer in one gulp. Heechul’s comments were putting him on the edge yet it made him so nervous at the same time. “Okay, he claimed me as his toy. That’s all!” Kyuhyun said.

“Then it still ends like that~” Heechul sang a song, drinking his martini.

“Chul-ah, let Kyuhyun tell us his problems.” Hankyung calmly requested, earning a pout from Heechul which he quickly kissed away.

And so, Kyuhyun narrated his miseries to his friends, especially what he had been through after the maid costume ‘incident’ with his failed attempts to get revenge on his master, Lee Sungmin.

“So-”

“Once upon a time…” Heechul mocked, cutting Kyuhyun’s story

“Hyung!” Kyuhyun pouted. Heechul raised his hands in surrender promising to listen without interrupting.

FAIRYTALE NO. 1: CINDERELLA IN BASEBALL

After his maid outfit ‘incident’ as Kyuhyun would refer it, Kyuhyun continued to act as Sungmin’s maid. Actually, to be more specific, he was Sungmin’s personal maid. Since Sungmin decided to do some major cleaning one Saturday morning, the latter asked for his assistance.

“Ugh! Why do you have so many things?” Kyuhyun grunted in annoyance as he held the box full of things that Sungmin wouldn’t use anymore. “Better yet, what are you going to do with these things afterwards?” Kyuhyun asked curiously. To be honest, those things in the box seemed new, like never been used before. Definitely, other people could still use them. He was afraid those beautiful things would encounter the same fate as those stuffed toys Sungmin brought from his store. “Those 5 months stock of stuff toys sure is a waste. I’m sure children would love to have those stuffs, especially those who can’t afford to buy them.” Kyuhyun thought solemnly. He looked at his side where Sungmin knelt packing another box, waiting for his reply. He finally got it after a minute,

“Throw them like always…” Sungmin shrugged still concentrated on packing his mess. Kyuhyun on the other hand rolled his eyes.

“This guy is just wasting too much.” Kyuhyun thought with gritted teeth. Especially seeing about 14 boxes filled to the brim with stuff Sungmin didn’t want any more not counting the two boxes he was holding and the one Sungmin was still packing. This guy was pushing him to the limit of his sanity. “Okay, that was a bit exaggerated.” Kyuhyun corrected himself.

“Ah, finally finished packing it.” Sungmin sighed in relief. The box was overflowing with things.

“What a waste..” Kyuhyun muttered.

“If you’re grieving so much about these useless things, you can take them if you want. You can even use them.” Sungmin stood with the box in his hands and glanced back at Kyuhyun. “Well, that is-” Sungmin paused while smirking at Kyuhyun’s confused face. “…If it will fit you considering your body size.” Sungmin chuckled then walked towards the door.

“Considering my body size? My body size?!” Kyuhyun choked. He clenched his fist in frustration, causing a left side of a pair of leather shoes to fall from the box. “God must have heard my plea.” Kyuhyun thought as he mentally processed in his mind what he would and could do with the shoe. Slowly, he took it with his right hand putting the box aside as he did. His eyes concentrated on Sungmin who was now close to the door. He lifted his left foot up, just like how a pitcher in a baseball game would do, the pitcher a.k.a GaemGyu held out the leather shoe. 1… 2… 3 and he threw it. Was it strike out?

Wooosh!

Toinks!

“Ouch!”

Thug!

Sungmin looked back at Kyuhyun when he heard a yelp. He was taken aback seeing Kyuhyun on the floor holding his head. “Eh?” Sungmin thought, he placed the box down on the floor. He went and kneeled beside Kyuhyun who was now rubbing his forehead. “Are you okay?” he asked as Kyuhyun looked up, their faces just inches away. Kyuhyun looked away embarrassed as he placed both his hands on the floor, supporting his sitting position. Kyuhyun suddenly stood up and patted the dust off his self. He picked up the box he was carrying a while ago and walked outside as Sungmin stood watching him dumbfounded and clueless. “Eh, what just happened?” Sungmin thought to himself as he observed Kyuhyun’s fading back figure until a gleaming black leather shoe caught his eyes. “Oh! I found it! Now where is the other half? I liked this pair.” Sungmin pouted to himself.

Meanwhile, Kyuhyun felt really annoyed because his plan failed, especially the part when he got hit instead of Sungmin. When he threw the shoe, it hit the door as Sungmin opened it and it acted like a baseball bat swinging and hit back the ball, which in this case was a leather shoe then whacked him in the head instead. But what annoyed Kyuhyun the most was how stupid he must have looked to Sungmin at that time. Kyuhyun couldn’t get the worried look on Sungmin’s face out of his mind, the more Kyuhyun thought of it, the redder he blushed. He shook his head, hoping to get rid of the thought. When he looked back at the box he was carrying, he noticed that he only had one side of the shoe in the box.

“Oh, I left the other side in the room.” Kyuhyun thought to himself.

FAIRYTALE 2: SNOW WHITE’S STYRO APPLE

Kyuhyun skimmed through a book about he got in his hand. He looked back to the shelf, glancing at the other Business Management books he could browse through. He was in Sungmin’s study room because his master decided to do his work there. Sungmin was too lazy to go to the office so he brought his work home. Wearing a white t-shirt with blue sleeves and a blue sweat pants, Sungmin sat in front of his desk as he reviewed proposals that were prepared for the company.

As Sungmin’s personal maid, Kyuhyun was on standby in case Sungmin needed something. Kyuhyun took a glance at Sungmin and clicked his tongue. “Well, he’s the boss…” Kyuhyun muttered softly. He put the book back at its original place on the shelf and went to sit on the couch in Sungmin’s study room. He took out his PSP, his only salvation while living in the cruel mansion and started playing his game, hoping Sungmin wouldn’t ask for anything any time soon, but then…

“Kyuhyun…”

“Speaking of the devil…” Kyuhyun hissed and huffily went towards Sungmin’s desk. When Sungmin looked up through his small frame glasses, Kyuhyun noticed that his specs really complimented his cute eyes but quickly pushed that thought to the back of his head.

“Need anything…MASTER?” he asked emphasizing on the last word.

Sungmin smirked at Kyuhyun’s sarcasm, “Could you fetch the bowl of fruits in the kitchen I asked Mrs. Lee to prepare for me?” Sungmin blinked with a smile before darting his attention back to the papers he was reviewing. Kyuhyun rolled his eyes as he walked away muttering “Sure.” With clenched teeth.

Kyuhyun left Sungmin’s study room with ease and walked as if the mansion was his own house after all, he had been living there for almost 2 weeks. The maids, staff and the other occupants in the house were used to his presence in the mansion. Oddly, rather than treating him like a servant, they treated him like a guest. Heck, he even had been staying in one of the guest rooms which were 3 times bigger than his whole apartment.

“Oh, Good morning Kyuhyun…” Someone greeted, pulling him back to his train of thoughts.

“Oh, Good morning Donghae hyung…” Kyuhyun greeted the young gardener who was a young master as well.

“Have you seen, Hyukjae?” Donghae asked. Kyuhyun shook his head in reply.

“Nope, I’ve been locked in Sungmin’s dungeon… Oh I mean study room till now.” Kyuhyun replied, making Donghae chuckle.

” Then congratulations on your freedom…” Donghae said with a soft laugh.

“For now, I guess…” Kyuhyun shrugged and waved his goodbye.

Lee Donghae… Sungmin’s cousin who loved flowers, the heir to the corporation of ports and fishing docks in Seoul. Donghae was staying in the mansion for business purposes and in his free time, he would take the liberty of caring for the flowers in the green house. But then soon enough, he would have to travel to China for business reasons then he would go back to his hometown, Mokpo. In Kyuhyun’s opinion, Donghae was kinder than Sungmin. Donghae was like the angel and Sungmin, was obviously the devil.

Kyuhyun continued his journey to the kitchen after his encounter with Donghae. Finally, arriving at his destination, he looked around hoping to see Mrs. Lee. “I wonder where Mrs. Lee is.” Kyuhyun thought noticing the bowl of glimmering fruits. “Oh, I guess this is it.” Kyuhyun muttered and grabbed the bowl.

“Oh, Kyuhyun-ah, you’re here.” Mrs. Lee then greeted who just came in the kitchen.

“Oh, Good Morning Mrs. Lee, I was just getting this bowl for Young master.” Kyuhyun replied.

“Oh, not that dear… it’s on the fridge. The one you’re holding is just for display.” Mrs. Lee smiled as she went to fetch the bowl herself.

“Huh?” Kyuhyun asked looking at the bowl he was holding. Mrs. Lee approached Kyuhyun with the other bowl she got from the fridge and handed it to Kyuhyun after he placed the bowl he was holding back onto the counter top.

“Here, take this to Minnie. He loves munching on fruits as he works, especially apples.” Mrs. Lee told him. Kyuhyun nodded in response still dazed as he bowed politely. “Those things are just for display. They are made of Styrofoam.” Mrs. Lee explained. Kyuhyun nodded again, finally understanding the situation. “Oh, I have to go. I’m heading to the market with the other maids. Take care of Sungminnie for me.” Mrs. Lee said before she left. Kyuhyun bowed then looked back at the bowl of Styrofoam fruits. A smirk playfully formed on his face.

Sungmin sighed finally seeing Kyuhyun back with the fruits he wanted. He didn’t mind seeing the other munching on his apple after all there was one more left in the bowl.

“Mm-here…” Kyuhyun said placing the bowl on Sungmin’s table still munching on his apple. “Hmmm, I’ve never tasted an apple as tasty as this.” Kyuhyun added with satisfactory. Sungmin just hummed in reply as he concentrated on his work. Kyuhyun looked at Sungmin’s direction smiling slyly seeing Sungmin getting the other apple. Sungmin was about to eat it but someone burst in the study room.

“Minnie, I got the papers!” Eunhyuk chirped and went directly to Sungmin’s desk with his gummy smile. Sungmin just rolled his eyes and was to take a bite from his apple but Eunhyuk snatched it away. Sungmin pouted at Eunhyuk who just smiled at him, acting so innocent. “Please sign this, Lee Sungmin~” Eunhyuk sang his words. Sungmin huffed but did as he was told.

“Phew! Ack!”

Sungmin immediately looked at Eunhyuk, wondering what had happened. He saw Eunhyuk spitting out bits of Styrofoam from of his mouth.

“Styrofoam apples?!” Eunhyuk muttered looking at Sungmin. Sungmin then understood what had happened setting his gaze on the culprit. Eunhyuk did the same but with questioning eyes.

Feeling eyes concentrated on him, Kyuhyun who had already finished his apple and was already playing his PSP, paused his game and looked up at them blinking, “What?!” Sungmin just smirked in amusement and went back to his work. He didn’t see the slight disappointment in Kyuhyun’s eyes knowing his own plan didn’t work, but Sungmin didn’t need to see it, he could feel that his “toy” was disappointed with the outcome of his supposed revenge. Sungmin was rather happy that his so-called ‘toy’ played games with him. At least he had someone to entertain him. Eunhyuk on the other hand was still clueless about what was happening between the two. He just left after Sungmin signed the papers he brought. Though he couldn’t help but to feel happy seeing the young master who was also his best friend smiling so widely like that. It had been ages since he last saw Sungmin smile genuinely.
