Chicago

Went to Chicago for the weekend with Josh. That was my first time there to really explore the city. Chicago is awesome!! It would have been better if it was not so cold, but it was great. We went down there on Friday night after my class. Our hotel was really nice, right on the river with a great view of the city. That night we went to dinner at this really cool pub. Tried a couple of their specialty beers, they were good. Then Saturday, we took the subway to Shedds Aquarium and spent most of the day there. There are alot of cool fish and other animals. Dolphins, penquins, sea otters, seahorses, sea turtle, tree frogs, and of course about every kind of fish, just to name a few things. Then we went a fondue resturant for dinner. That was interesting, i have never had fondue. My mom says it was the thing to do in the 70s...hehe. It was really good, especially the dessert, which was dipping strawberries, brownies, and marshmellows in melted chocolate and carmel. mmm... I ate way too much. After dinner, we walked a couple blocks to Blue Chicago to drink and hear some blues. We went to two of their clubs, both of the bands were really good. Then to the hotel for some sleep. Today, we went to the Navy Pier before leaving. Just looked around there. There are some cool shops and a nice view of the city and Lake Michigan. Josh bought me a cool hanging lantern made of paper, i have to find out where and how to hang it. So all in all, the weekend was great. Nice to come home to snow in April, almost May!!!!

My last class is tomorrow. So I have a week of studying for exams. In a few weeks, it will be over, well this semester will be. Then summer classes.

In a few weeks, Machinehead at Harpos...cannot wait!!

Well, got to get to bed after such a busy weekend.
