Finally, the appellate brief is done, turned it in today. I had my oral argument in front of my prof. today. I did not do to good, i get too nervous and forget the stuff i wanted to say. So i have alot of practicing to do before the final one in front of judges on Saturday. It probably will not help because i will get even more nervous and still forget everything. I dont want to be a litigator, good thing i dont cuz i probably would not be able to be one if i wanted to, unless i found someway to not get nervous and have a better memory to remember all the case law. My opponent was much better than me, but she has it easier. Representing the appellee, she has just heard my argument and just has to show my week spots and give support for her weak spots that i brought up. I have to basically frame the argument, bring up my strong points, rebut her points that i think she will raise, all while shielding endless questions from the judge, and then i have to rebut her argument went she is done. Oh well, i guess i get more practice.
Cannot wait until this is over.
