Dream School?

Some San Francisco second-graders began their studies at a "dream school." Three such schools opened this year and focus on preparing kids for college. The parents sign contracts which commit the youngsters to a school day that runs 8AM-5PM among other things.

I understand the desire for children to have a good education but this seems excessive to me. Where's the playtime? Kids learn from that, too.
