EDIT: I just ran to the corner store. In my slippers. OH GOD. THANK CRAP THEY JUST LOOK LIKE BALLET FLATS. But yes, I have a corner store now! I've never had one of those! It's actually around the corner. But I bought butter, for $2.50, but was duly compensated by the shop owner - this little old Asian man whose every second words are "thank you" - who gave me a pineapple chew. Now that is just sweet.
