TEN FIRSTS
first best friend: theresa oster of oklahoma city, oklahoma. my older sister and her older sister were best friends, so i think theresa and i had to go BFF just for the sake of proximity. i guess i was six or so when we moved to georgia, and i thought losing theresa was like my parents ripping my heart out of my chest.. but it wasn't. i talked to her once or twice after moving, and never since. it was an awesome life lesson about the expendability of people (and awesome to learn it at such a young age) because i was just going to keep moving around my entire life, no need to get attached to things.
first screen name: dan might remember this. oh wait, no. i know what it was. it was Sarah_83. swear to god, you can't make this shit up. it was on WOW!. i'm not surprised to see that blank look on your face, i know you've never heard of it.
first pet: mephistopheles or whatever the fuck that gerbil's name was. i had had pets prior to this little guy, but they were family pets. this dude was mine. then suddenly one day, my mom said that autumn (our cat) had eaten the gerbil. i burned with seething rage for that cat for years, even past her sad death; only to find out when i was like, seventeen, that my mom actually accidentally sat on the gerbil while talking on the phone and suffocated it.
first piercing: ears, but then tongue. i was fourteen or fifteen and my dad was PISSED.
first crush: this dude at sacred heart in GA. he had warts all over his hands. i just liked him.
first record: the first record i remember my sister and i sharing for ourselves is michael jackson's thriller or the labyrinth soundtrack. i can't remember which was first. the first tape i ever bought for myself was whitney houston's somethingorother. the one where she still had big poofy curly hair. and wore neon everything. the first CD i ever bought isn't that much better, so i won't get into it. nor is my first concert.
first car: 1995 honda accord LX. stolen.
first love: there's debate about this. i'm fairly certain it was mark, even though we were internerdy relationshippy. but i've seen him in person and shit several times (only once during us "being together", though) so i'm torn. is he? i think so. to say otherwise would do a discredit to the sheer volume of emotion i felt for this man, geographically close or not. but if there's a category for BEST love, ben totally wins!
first stuffed animal: no fucking clue.
first kiss: luke carter, in my backyard. he said i wasn't that good!
