Jan 01, 2012 16:52

So as it's the beginning of a new year, I thought I'd keep with tradition and share my book list of the year. Again, I'm annoyed that I didn't manage to read more, but that's a constant concern *g*. You may notice a bit of a theme throughout...

39) Lady of Avalon, Marion Zimmer Bradley
40) The Lady of the Rivers, Philippa Gregory
41) Life: An Unauthorised Biography, Richard Fortey (mid-way through)

So, yes. Mostly fantasy, some dodgy free horror texts thanks to Kindle, some science, 'literature' and randomness. No absolute stinkers, thank goodness.

Highlights?
All of the Song of Ice and Fire series (me and everyone else, I know).
The Remains of the Day - beautiful, quiet and very touching.
Everything Twain
Your Inner Fish - a fascinating and accessible look at one of our most distant cousins.

Here's to more happy reading in 2012 for all. :)
