remember whatever, it seems like forever ago

Thing One:
I'm supposed to be gardening tomorrow. Pulling out weeds, poking things with a fork, that kind of thing. I do not have green fingers. I have black fingers. I have fingers of Death. I'm not a heartless plant murderer, it's just that I can't seem to find the right balance between not watering enough, and watering too much.
I make plants cry.

Thing Two:
I'm feeling fannishly nostalgic. I miss Buffy. I miss videotaping new episodes from Sky One, when Angel walked off to get his own show, and there were rumours Spike was going to be a regular. I miss Giles pinching his nose in the library and saying 'Oh dear'. I miss Oz. I miss curvy!Buffy, who was fun and perky and hadn't lost everyone she ever loved in some horrific agonizing fashion. It wasn't all fluff, but what I'm saying is I miss the newness, the naivete, if you will. I haven't been excited about a new show in quite the same way since.
Also - I'm not saying that 'modern shows these days suck, back in the day we used to walk five miles uphill in the snow and the wet just for the first fifteen minutes of an ep.' Things are just different now that I've got older. As they should be.

I think perhaps an 'a-thon' may be due.
