You know, for someone who pays for the privilege of LJ, you'd really think that I would write more regularly in it, wouldn't you? I suck at updating.
Catching up, invariably means a random bullet-point List 'O Doom:
+ I have a Christmas tree! Yes, I know it's early, and no, it's not been erected yet, but I've bought one. My first Christmas tree for my first house. It feels like a bit of a landmark to me. I can't wait till December now and the excuse to decorate the whole place in what will end up as the result of a blind, drunk, tinsel-vomiting Yule fairy's attempt at Christmas cheer. But it's the thought that counts, not the lack of talent. Honest.
+ I'm having no luck whatsoever with the job hunt *sigh*. After what must be a dozen or so filled application forms, I've only received one (1!) response - and that was a rejection. I think I've fallen into the typical studenty problem of being overqualified and under-experienced. Nevertheless, I'm continuing to be persistent.
+ I need to learn restraint when it comes to shopping sometimes. I've got enough BPAL perfume coming my way via a Lab order, LJ sales and involvement in a Yule decant circle, to bathe in. Possibly. But, damn, it smells so bloody good and makes me feel, well, pretty and sexy. And for those who know me outside of LJ, you'll know that kind of confidence does not come easily to me.
+ I want to go and see The Prestige at the cinema soon. Has anyone seen it, and if so, would you recommend it? *insert Hugh Jackman squee here*
+ Finally, on a totally shallow note - John Barrowman is tied with a certain HL actor as my top crush of 2006. Watching interviews with him, as well as watching his singing and acting work has me in deep lust *g*. The man is bloody gorgeous, funny, filthy-tongued, and lovely. Well, at least, the way he presents himself is, and as a harmless fangirl type, I'm happy with that. : )
