Ahh...Bruges. Lovely, lovely place. Almost Disney-esque in its devotion to still looking like the same town pf centuries ago. A Disney, that is, withuot the twee and general saccarine-ness. Plus of couse, every few yards is a chocolate shop. Yes, I'm broke now, but I'm full of chocolate-y goodness. Walked around, bought the essentials, took a boat tour (Bruges is like a mini-Venice), ate at a nice, but rather negligent restaurant, and went back to Calais for the usual shopping trip.
Ah, you see, I'm a bit less hyped about Bruges than I was a day ago. My thoughts have been overcrowded by last night's theatre performance of 'Art' in the West End. One of the best pieces of theatre I've ever seen in my life. If anyone ever gets the chance to see it, GO! Wonderously funny, witty, bitter-sweet at points, and very very clever. I want to do my dissertation on it already! And, there was the bonus of watching the fantastic Sanjeev Bhaskar at work. The role was perfect for him, and he truly made it his own.
And much as I could rant about it here, along with the little naunces and physical comedy that made it all so culminatively brilliant, I won't. Because it'd just turn into that essay. *g*
[tangent]I keep on finding more things to do in Photoshop. Perhaps *gasp* too many things... Is that possible?![/tangent]
Tomorrow, we're off shopping for a (egads) formal dress for me. I'm hoping to get the classic 'little black' number, but I'm a bit...er...terrified. Me and dresses? We tend not to mix too well...
