Well, with time I could probably give a thousand answers, but lets stick with the one I can type without spraining something.
I'm a magpie.
I don't spend more than fifty bucks at one store ever, unless it's for someone else or I have no choice in the matter, but I like certain things too much. Journals with just the right mix of practical desing and nifty color cover, pens and pencils, bookmarks... Messenger bags - but i've managed to avoid buying those since they are usually too expensive.
Thing is, my family has had bad enough finances that I remember being sent to next aisle at 7 y.o. to get bread and getting a lecture for not reading the price tag. So, yeah, I can avoid buying things I have no use for. But I'm not that broke, so I find myself spending three bucks here and twenty there one things I have enough of.
I mean, i bought three journals a few months ago because they were on sale and are practially perfect. I have yet to get half-way through one, and my eye keeps getting stuck on journals anyway!
In other news, yes, I am posting twice in one week. No the world is not ending. I've actually been writing after work while waiting for rides, so I'm in a more creative mood this week. Also, this is the week of the Great Flood of Louisville. The main library branch may have 2 mill in damages. So we're hanging out online at other places, where I'm less likly to have someone over my shoulder. Yes, I'm that upset about people reading what I'm writing before I'm done.
I will be donating at least $50 to the library, as soon as I can make sense out of the donation instructions in this hand envelope - there is an amount blank for checks, and for pledges, but not for credit cards, even though there is a blank for credit card numbers! I though pledges were things you agree to give later, and I mean to give now...
Got to go now. Need to get home and walk the dogs before the neighborhood park closes.
