So I've ranted to anyone who would listen about how I am convinced the fifth and sixth Harry Potter books were just... really, really bad fanfic I'd read once and never thought about again.
I thought JKR had gone off her rocker, that she'd completely lost all sense or sight of her characters, and that she had resorted to the kind of writing Dan Brown enjoys.
I hate Dan Brown with the burning passion of a trillion stars.

The seventh book. Is. Amazing.
There are no words.
I just. Wow. JKR, you really got your shit together for this last book, y'know? It was concise, tightly written, and the action never stopped coming. Dude. Its... a masterpiece. An amazing conclusion. A bit spotty in parts, but eh, that's what fanfic is for XD.
Go grab a copy, now, and spend your next 8 hours or so reading it. It's... beautiful.
