If any of you know people in or around New Orleans... call them and tell them to get the fuck out of there, now. Gnat, I really, really hope you aren't there. Get to the Superdome, or above any third story.
But, New Orleans is going down. Destroyed. The levies won't hold, and New Orleans is below sea level.
Buy gas. All you can. The prices are going to skyrocket. One of our major ports is about to be annihilated, and all of the rigs had to be evacuated.
Baton Rouge is in the path as well, and we're probably going to be hit by the barrier storms. If I can convince my Mom & Dad to let me, I might try and go help with recovery efforts. Or at least go take them fresh water.
