Hi! I am here to make a suggestion. If I were your new god, I would simply command obedience, but since I'm not, I'll try persuasion, instead.
It's been a long summer, right? I mean, maybe not a hundred and eighty years being tortured in hell long, but still pretty long. There's been no show for months! And there's still another two weeks of no show stretching out before us. It seems to me that the only thing that will make this better is if people write me fic in which Sam and Dean hug, and call each other names. Perhaps in which Jared and Jensen run lines together and make out between takes. You know, schmoop. Lots of it.
So mollyamory and I have a plan. Sort of like the Cylons, but with less death and such.
If people are interested, for the ten days or so leading up to September 23 (that is when SPN returns, for those of you not obsessively keeping track), we'll have a daily flashfic challenge. We'll post a prompt, and for 24 hours, anyone can post a fic to the comm in response. We'll put up a post beforehand for you guys to suggest prompts, and we'll pick from them each day. That way, it isn't just us inflicting are ideas about smiling and snuggling on you--again.
We'll provide more details if there's interest, and once we've thought of them, but first, a poll! (Answers given are not binding. I promise not to destroy you if you change your mind.) If you've got any suggestions/concerns, feel free to let us know in a comment to this post, or in a PM, if you'd prefer that.
