So, Sunday night my mom comes in my room with some towels (I was still asleep, as it was my night off), and said "Some girls that say they know you from the hotel stopped by with this. We think 3-4 weeks, really underweight, infections, and it's been sleeping alot. Either Joey if it's a boy, or Josephine if it's a girl. I gave it some antibiotics, and it's not eaten, so you may need to bottle-feed still."
Turns out Crystal and her friends had found a baby kitten alongside the road in a town about 20 miles away, and knowing that we take in strays and fosters, brought her to my house. I have no clue how they found my house.... my facebook has my PO box, and that's about the only address I give out, but regardless. Sure enough, she had a rather nasty upper respiratory infection, was skin and bones (first time I've -ever- seen a kitten that didn't have a nice round belly. She had her ribcage sticking out, and then it narrowed down to her spine, and then her hips). Slept -alot- on Sunday, I got some baby foods from the store, and it turns out she could eat that.
Took her to the vet Monday, and she is 4-5 weeks old, weighed .7 lbs (a kitten that age should be right around 2 pounds), and aside from the weight, fleas and infection, very healthy. So we continued the antibiotics, continued with baby foods, and she started to come around very quickly. I did take her to the vet Friday morning, and she's up to 1.3 lbs already! (WHOOOT!) Plays like a felon, but is very very needy attention-wise. Needs to know where the human is at all times, and prefers to sleep curled up against you than somewhere else. Which isn't all that uncommon with our 'found' kitties. Punk still follows people around like a puppy, and he's almost 4 now. Her left eye still has a cloudy patch, and is overall not quite right, so we are suspecting she may be blind in that eye. Doesn't slow her down any, but it's something we're having to consider with adopting her out soon. Granted, she's only been on the antibotics since Sunday, and we're doing a full 14-day dose, so it may very well get better soon, but I'm not really holding my breath on it.
So now we're trying to find a home for the wee kitten, as much as I loathe to. She's so super-sweet and affectionate. But yeah, that's my life in a nutshell here lately. :)

Very short vid where Josie was attacking the litterbox and chasing her tail, and then got distracted. ADD kitten is ADD.

This is the Mystery Triangle... we bought one for Punk when he was a kitten, and he still plays super-hard with it (this is the fifth one we've bought him). Pryor loved his, to the point I bought him his own when he went to live with C, and he still plays in it like a giant kitten. Of course, Josie loves it too. A brief interlude by Lucivar at one point.

Lucivar was jealous that Josie was getting the camera-time, so I took some vid of him 'killing' a piece of rabbit fur. :D
