Uuuurgh! I just had to buy magazines for one of my modules, History of Magazines, but I also need to buy a men's mag for Advertising as Mass Communication to find a drinks ad to compare to one in a woman's magazine. I spent about 5 minutes staring at the guys' mags, finally grabbed a copy of Zoo (for those of you who don't know, it's a British magazine aimed at teenage boys, or that's how it sems anyway). Quickly flick through it, with it's practically naked girl on the cover and practically naked girls inside (wearing pants and nothing else. Oh no wait, I think some wore heels.) "Right no drinks ads oh well." Put it back sighing with relief. I think I might ask one of the housemates to buy one for me, and just ask them to look for a drink ad inside, at least them flicking through magazines containing half naked girls won't look as strange *cringes again*. And I'll have to buy more magazines, which is strange because I never buy magazines (I prefer books thanks) the closest I get is comic books. Reading about the Victorian magazines is interesting at least. And my Magazines tutor really liked my essay idea so that was good. ^__^
On a happier and completely unrelated subject: My friend Mikey went to London last weekend and he brought me back a PRESSIE! ^____^ He bought me one of the manga sized books of X-Men reprints (can't remember the name right now) from the London Forbidden Planet. He's such a sweetheart. ^__^ He also sent us all a postcard (yes even though he only went for the weekend, see what I mean about him being sweet?) And he got felt up (a hand brushed across his chest as he moved to let this guy pass him) in a gay nightclub) which just made me laugh so hard. XD
And yep, still have mountains of work, still knackered. I think when June rolls around I'll sleep for a week. ><''
