Thaddeus "Taddy" Seiff
Body and Appearance

Thaddeus, or Taddy as he is known, is just a hair over 6’. He was a chubby baby, but he grew into a rather lanky man. His teen years were especially awkward, as he was all arms and legs. He’s never really outgrown his wiry build, but he has managed to put on a little muscle so he doesn’t look as scrawny.
2. How old is he?
Taddy is about 40 years old at present.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
He has excellent posture, because he feels it makes him look more intimidating than his frame makes him appear.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Taddy is in excellent shape, and having a young son keeps him active.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
He always looks a bit awkward when he moves because of how lanky he is.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
Taddy has very strong features, and he does not find himself as handsome as some of the other people he knows. His nose is too hooked and his mouth is disproportionately large. But when he’s laughing, which he does frequently, you don’t notice the prominence of his features as much.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
He has light skin.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
He has very curly brown hair that he keeps cropped close so it doesn’t look too much like a clown wig.
9. What color are his eyes?
Taddy’s eyes are light blue.

His nose and his mouth. He got the former from his mother and grandmother, and the later from his father.
11. What are his chief tension centers?
His head. When he’s stressed, he gets terrible headaches.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
Taddy’s a bit of a flashy dresser, even though the colors are muted.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
Because of how lanky he is, he has a very hard time getting clothes to fit right. They always kind of look as though they’re hanging off of him.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
He pretty much dresses the same no matter what.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Most people are shocked at how deep his voice is. He likes the contrast between his voice and his build.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
He has a tendency to talk fast because if he doesn’t, he won’t get a word in.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Like most of the people in the area, Taddy’s got a hint of a Bostonian accent.

English/Simlish, and decent French/SimFrench.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
No, he pretty much sticks to Simlish, though his knowledge of SimFrench swear words is extensive.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
Taddy prefers to think about his words, but he does fairly well when he’s speaking off-the-cuff as well.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Taddy sometimes has trouble finding the right words to express himself.

Taddy’s clever, but is neither truly book-smart or street-smart.

Taddy can think on his feet fairly well.

Taddy’s very much an idealist.

Well, if finding speakeasies and other illegal drinking establishments counts, Taddy is an expert. Otherwise, he’s not really an expert at anything.

Taddy is very cheerful, and laid-back.

He’s very relaxed in new situations, unless he picks up on signals that suggest he should be otherwise.

Taddy’s sense of humor is very crude and vulgar.

Meeting James and Sterling, who would become his best friends, and like brothers to him. And having to get married because he didn’t want to disappoint his parents by flouting social convention. World War II, but that’s all I’m saying there.

Becoming an old, boring married man.

He hopes that he’ll be able to be as good of a father to his children as his was to him.

That despite all his initial grumblings, he kind of likes being married after all.

Taddy adores his mother and worships his father.

He’s an only child.

He’s best friends with his cousin James. He never got on with his grandparents, as they ignored him because he was the child of their daughter.

Sterling is distantly related, and he, like James, is practically a brother to Taddy.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
James and Sterling are Taddy’s best friends. Taddy met Sterling at school, and James joined the trio one summer afternoon at Taddy’s house.

Not really. He’d rather spend his time with James and Sterling.

Taddy makes friends fairly easily.

As far as Taddy’s concerned, his friends are part of his family, blood or not.

Taddy is married, only once.

No. Taddy would never dream of cheating on Calla, because she’d kill him.

It sounds sappy, but Calla Menon. He fell for her not long after he became a teen and never looked back.

Taddy wants someone who’s adventurous, daring, and with a bit of a wild streak.

Taddy has two children, his daughter Rosalie and his son Gilbert. He cannot relate to his daughter Rosalie at all; she’s too prim and proper for his tastes, even though he knows that it can be a good thing. He gets along quite well with Gilbert, though he sometimes wishes his son would be more interested in sports.

Taddy is straight.

Taddy loves sex, and it’s very important to him. He’s a Romance Sim, after all.

Taddy’s turn ons are makeup and full face makeup, and his turn off is brown hair.

Taddy is a Sagittarius, and is pretty typical of the sign.

He’s not really religious or spiritual, but he goes to church every Sunday, as it was in the time period he’s living.

Taddy believes in following the law and doing what’s right, except when he thinks it’s a stupid law.

Taddy doesn’t do so well with people whose beliefs differ radically from his.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
Taddy believes that the men should go to work and the women should stay home, because that’s how he was raised. He is willing, however, to let his daughter learn some skills so she can survive on her own if necessary.

Taddy’s family is very well off, despite the Great Depression. They do not have any debts.

Taddy’s family is prominent, and his father once served as mayor.

Taddy lives in a large, confortable house that he shares with his parents and his wife and children.

Well, he’s a Professional Party Guest in game, which I kind of explain as a socialite. He enjoys it very much.

Taddy likes baseball, and he spends he free time reliving his “glory days” with James and Sterling.

Taddy eats whatever is put in front of him. He has a weakness for fine brandy.

Calla is 5’3”, and she likes to wear high-healed shoes to give her a bit more height. She is slender with minimal curves, and she works hard to stay that way.

Currently in-game and in story, she’s about 38 years old.

Calla carries herself well, and has excellent posture. Since her husband is so tall, she doesn’t want to disappear when she stands next to him.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Calla has, what some might call, a delicate constitution. She catches colds easily, and is afflicted with terrible allergies in the spring and fall. Physically, she’s not very strong and does not have great endurance.

She moves with grace, albeit slowly.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
Calla is one of the beauties of her generation, and she knows it. She takes great care of her looks.

Her skin, despite its golden hue, has a bit too much translucency to be considered truly healthy.

She was born a redhead, but since college she has dyed her hair a golden blond, and she styles it into long, soft waves.

Her features are very classic.

Her stomach. She cannot eat when she’s stressed.

If she were a real person, her wardrobe would be extensive and extravagant. She wears colors that make her look less sallow.

Yes. She believes in the power of tailors.

Calla does not work. So she dresses the same all the time.

Her vocabulary consists of more slang that one would believe.

Simlish/English, and SimFrench/French. She can read a bit of Latin as well, though she can barely speak it.

She’ll slip a few SimFrench swears into her conversations when she’s frustrated.

Calla usually ends up blurting out something she shouldn’t when she doesn’t stop to think about what she’s going to say.

She’s really neither. Unless she’s just stuck her foot in her mouth, she’s a rather forgettable speaker.

She’s not as smart as her grades in school would lead you to believe. She’s not very good at taking the book knowledge she has and translating it into practical use.

Calla makes horrible decisions when she thinks on her feet. But the decisions she makes when she deliberates aren’t much better either. She’s better off when she let someone else makes her decisions for her.

She doesn’t really have one. Her thoughts are very scattered, and would make little to no sense to anyone other than herself.

A bit contentious at times. Calla had a certain disregard for the rules as a teen, and they, especially her father, did not approve of how far her relationship went with Taddy before they were married. That he died before they’d resolved all those issues is one of her greatest regrets.

Calla’s an only child.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?

Probably Viola Bradford Alcott, though Viola might not return the sentiment. They met in school.

She makes acquaintances easily. She has a hard time letting people get close.

She knows what is right and what is wrong, and does her best to live her life that way. But sometimes, she just does what feels good, whether it’s right or wrong.

She gets very confused at the idea that someone doesn’t see things the way she does.

She watches her figure careful, so she’s mindful of what she eats and how much. She tends towards bland foods as they don’t upset her stomach.
