Chapter 22 Picspam - Main Families Part 2

Oct 09, 2011 23:22

And now, to the picspam I have from the main family, and some stuff from college too.

College Days

I knew that I wanted the 1920s generation to start acting more modern. After all, a lot changed during this decade. Mostly, it was women starting to come into a little more power. Some of this was brought about by suffrage, yes, but it also had a lot to do with Prohibition as well. Women went to speakeasies, where they didn’t go to bars or saloons.

That’s where Cindy came in. She is a Romance Sim by nature, which I wanted for 2 reasons. First, I don’t have that gravestone in my collection. Second, there was a bit of sexual revolution that took place then. Flapper girls were bold, and they fooled around. Heck, they invented making out in the back seat of cars. So Cindy needed to be a lot different from my past legacy wives.

And because she is a Romance Sim, she needed to be a little reluctant to marry James. But the engagement scene, as you know, was staged. Here’s what really happened.

Cindy comes over, and James accosts her. And begin engagement spam.

She acts all happy but:

Romance sims are still Romance.

There are times that James reminds me that he has only one nice point.

When he plays football is one of them. Poor Cindy; if this were real I think she’d have a broken nose.

This is what I dealt with for all four “years” of their college.

At least they didn’t starve, because they sure as Hell didn’t like to cook.

And James also felt the need to remind me that he’s very playful.

Tub pirates, ahoy!

Okay, one of the things that I hate is how the game treats Sims who have high chemistry, even if they haven’t interacted romantically.

Like Taddy and Cindy. They aren’t even friends and they do THIS when I ask Taddy to tell her to leave. Sigh.

James continued the family tradition of horrible transition outfits.

Ugh.

Bradford Farm

So at last James is home, looking spiffy, and it’s time to move Cindy in so we can have us a wedding. What must be done first?

Backrub. Aw.

I was going to use this shot for the chapter, but the tie doesn’t match the one on the tux I gave him.

So I used a different picture.

While I was getting the family in their seats, I caught a sweet moment.

I love love LOVE this picture. It totally looks like he’s reassuring her before the big moment.

Okay, time for wedding spam.

So pretty.

So, this might fall under the “banned for lyfe” category:

Look at what his hands are framing. Bad James.

Poor Cindy.

No Fears for her though. Just very red rings.

I don’t know why they were giggling.

But it was cute.

I pegged James as a cake-shover.

And I was right.

Not to be outdone, Marsha and Jefferson were very lovey-dovey.

Much to the chagrin of their other sun.

I didn’t catch it, but he “bleched” at the romance between his parents.

And then I sent the newlyweds on their honeymoon to Twikki Island/SimBermuda. Real!Bermuda was a very popular destination during that era, and only a boat ride away from New York.

And Cindy’s had a certain want locked for a while, so I was nice.

As I am playing with Strict Family Values (at least until I get to the 1960s and the Pill gets invented), I was crossing my fingers and toes. I did not want them to have a baby right away. Luckily, no lullaby.

I’m pretty sure that these two are my new favorite couple.

I cannot believe that James has just one nice point some times.

So, what else did they do on the honeymoon?

Well, it is a honeymoon, after all. I looked up the odds of baby, and it was low enough for me to risk it.

I was going to have this as a framed picture for their bedroom, but it turned to night just as I had the random townie take the picture. Grr.

Cindy learned to fire dance.

While James had fun smashing sandcastles built by random kids.

And there was a major crab problem. At least I got some good loot out of all the pinched fingers.

Poor Cindy’s sunburn persisted for quite a while. But that didn’t stop the two of them from checking out the sights.

Ate food…

and played pirate…

Poor Cindy didn’t have any luck.

She got struck by lightning while soaking in the hot spring.

I got her and James massages.

They both seemed to enjoy them.

And there was more sunbathing. No burns or tans this time, thank goodness.

I almost used this picture in the chapter.

It looks like they’re holding hands, and it’s not staged at all.

I sent them on a date their last night there.

But chapter got long, so it got cut.

Two final vacation pictures.

James doing inappropriate heart-farts. Good thing your wife didn’t see that, mister.

Cindy’s reaction to James throwing her the football. Have I mentioned I love her faces?

I had some fun with poseboxes this chapter, mostly for vignette type pictures to emphasis events. Have a few that didn’t make it into the chapter.

These were staged in Cindy’s dressing room at the speakeasy.

And then, after getting shots I needed for the chapter, it was baby time.

And when I wanted baby, the happy couple obliged me by throwing me a lullaby on the first try. And it will be a single baby. No twins (I peaked at the SimBlender’s pregnancy scanner). Cindy, I love you.

What else went on?

Well, Cyrus still hates to study.

Marsha still loves her garden.

I have to say that I am impressed with James.

He is very attentive to Cindy while she’s pregnant. Lots of backrubs too.

She, on the other hand, just wants to eat. I’m having her play the piano to get her creativity up so that she can get promoted quicker in the Music career. I’ll have her up her mechanical next rotation because it’s fall.

Finally, a tradition continues.

Marsha is “teaching” Cindy to garden. So far, so good. Cindy’s not thrilled, but we’ll see how she reacts after having the baby and not being so cranky.

I guess that’s it. I’m playing the rotation for the next chapter, mostly because I really want to know who has what for babies. That, and the Myshuno event has had me writing like mad, and some of that will end up in the next chapter.
