Side Projects, AKA Legacy Distractions

I swore that I wouldn't like the Sims 3. They looked too much like bad Pixar characters in my eyes. And then, I got World Adventures. And I'm hooked.

I've always wanted to go to Egypt. So why not take my Sims 3 Simself there?

I probably should have changed her out of the sweater and jeans. If they had the temperature meter that they do in the Sims 2, she'd be roasting.

I don't have pictures of it, but she met a mummy in the Pyramid of the Burning Sands, and got cursed. Luckily, the Sphynx was able to help me out.

Of course, I couldn't figure out how to get to the freaking statue to meditate it, so I ended up deleting that hood and recreating my simself. We went to France instead this time.

Ah, la belle France! Je voudrais allez beaucoup. And if my French sucks, I apologize. It's been about 10 years since I had any formal education in it.

Since then, I got Late Night, High End Loft Stuff, and Fast Lane Stuff, mostly because I liked the clothes and hair they add. I'm undecided on Ambitions - though I do like the "work-at-home" career stuff. If anyone has feedback I'll take it. Maybe I'll askk for it for Christmas.

I'm still not thrilled with the look of the sims, so I've been starting to investigate the CC out there. More hairstyles is a must, and maybe eyes as well.

As far as the Bradfords go, I just have to play the main lot for the fall rotation. Lots of kiddies headed off to college this rotation (so appropriate for fall, and I didn't plan it that way at all!), and more adults becoming elders (Henri! Matthew!! Jan!!! - well, the later two will when I play their house). I'm hoping to update before Thanksgiving, but make no promises. I'm getting anxious to move onto the plots that I have planned for Jefferson - they've been in my head for a while now.

Check back Thursday for my Legiversary project - I'm pretty excited about how this turned out.
