Spare Updates & Chapter 10 Picspam

Apr 25, 2010 17:42

Greetings! Now that Chapter 10 is up, I thought I’d share some of the 250+ pictures I took that didn’t make the cut for the main story.

Okay, so some of the big stuff that happened in the spare households. I already showed you the first member of generation 5 (Myrtle London). The other big events occurred in the Thompson household.

First, Richard and Renee Thompson are now elders:

Quite dignified, if I do say so myself.

Their two boys, Abraham and Isaac:

Abraham has just graduated from college, and Isaac still has a ways to go before he’s ready to depart.

Abraham’s intended is Gretchin Chin, one of the Apartment Life townies.
She wandered into the house when he was a toddler, and they got to be friends over the bunny toy. She’s pretty great, despite her 2 neat points.

They had a lovely wedding.

They’re both knowledge sims, so give them a few books and they’re happy.

That’s all from the spares and their decendants. On to the featured families.

Henri’s wedding was very pretty.

I think she made a lovely bride.

I feel kind of bad for her.

My poor Henri. She needs a hug.

PicSpam from Henri’s Wedding:

It was really a great wedding, even if the groom is somewhat questionable.

And poor Henri’s had a rough time with the “first trimester” of her pregnancy.

I had to stage this for chapter, as she wouldn’t get sick when I wanted her to. Oh no, just when her needs were tanking and I thought I was going to lose her.

Henri’s going to be a great mother.

I can’t wait to see what the little one looks like.

Time to head back to the main household. I hadn’t realized it until just recently, but all my heir’s wives have been knowledge sims. Odd. Here’s what Jan grew up into when she moved in:

At least it coordinates with her hair. Sigh.

Matthew always looks so cross. I forget that he only has 1 nice point sometimes.

I also think that I’m going to give Jan another makeover. I found a different dress that I think will look better on her, and a new hairstyle. Something about this look doesn’t quite suit her in my eyes.

Obligatory Matthew and Jan wedding spam starts now:

I suppose that they’re a sweet looking pair. Too bad you can’t trust their motives.

This ammused me:

I don’t know why Jan was so pissed while feeding Matthew cake. But I laughed.

I haven’t sent my sims on a vacation in a while, not since the brief trip George and the boys took, so it was fun to play in a vacation hood again.

Jan really isn’t a fan of the chopsticks.

Nor did she really like the tea. I don’t understand her faces. She’s got 7 nice points!

When Matthew wished at the well, he got lucky and got the money one:

I laughed at that one. Kind of nice when fate gets back at your characters for you.

That’s it from the main household. Onto the spare, starting with the Alcott/McCarthy family. It’s hard to believe that the baby of generation 4 is almost grown up.

I like Ameila a lot. Just not her LTW.

Woohoo 20 sims indeed. I don’t think so missy. What would your brothers say about that?

Next up is the Ryan house. You already saw them in the chatper, but here’s Rebecca and Timothy’s “official” elder portrait:

I’m still not a fan of either. But they’ll be around for a while. Boo.

It was kind of fun to shoot the scene where Timothy told Sullivan Pratt about Matilda’s elopement. Such good faces.

He he he. Poor Timothy. His plans dashed to pieces. I don’t feel sorry for him in the least.

Next up, the Turner household. Patrick’s old. :(

I still think he’s one of the best looking sims of gen 3. I’m going to be very sad when he goes. Luckily, that won’t be for a long time.

Nothing from the Pasang household except:

This is Amos as a toddler. He’s adorable, and has a great personality (9/4/9/10/3). He’s going to be a handful.

We now move to the Bear household. My poor Anne.

Her plot has evolved from what I originally planned. I was going to have the baby not make it, but I couldn’t bear to do it. She had a horrible pregnancy, which gave me the idea of her being sick for a long time after the birth. Of course, I needed some CC to make her look sickly.

She doesn’t look well at all, which is really good for the story line.

Anne is a great mama. She’s especially fond of Eldon, her son:

He’s the sickly child, so we’ll just have to see how that plays out.

And Joseph has been great. He’s a very modern man, and he’s very worried about his wife.

As he should be. She needs to learn to follow doctor’s orders.

We’ll just have to wait and see what happens with her.

Last, but certainly not least is the new Alcott family, Robert and Matilda.

They are such a sweet pair.

Their wedding was fun to shoot.

I was glad to bring this plotline to a happy ending.

It’s also great to see Eliza and Matilda’s relationship evolve.

It will be nice to see Matilda get the love and affection from a mother figure that she missed out on for so long.

I’ll close with a sweet shot for sweetness sake.

This pair has been through quite enough, so I’ll give you a spoiler and say that they’ll live happily ever after.

That’s all for now. It will be a while before the next chapter. I’ve got to work the next 2 weekends, so there will be very limited time for simming. Plus, I have a few things I need to get done, including the bios for generation 4 and building my “old west” town. Who’s the lucky sim to spend four months traveling cross country in a covered wagon? Wait and see. That should be part of chapter 11, but I make no promises. Until then, happy simming.
