The other night I had a double feature in the wonderful world of my dreamscape.
The first dream was short but completely random. It had a first person perspective. I was in an African savannah setting. Tall yellow grass on big open plains with an occasional tree. I was with someone. I never saw who they were, but the voice sounded very familiar. We came across an abandoned house. Practically torn apart. We headed into the bakyard to find the local vegetation had completely over run everything. I looked down to my feet and I saw an animal. It was an elephant...but not. It looked exactly like an elephant about the size of a puppy, yet it was armored like an armadillo. Very stange. It followed me around like a faithful animal I raised that since childhood would have. Ever loyal. Something woke me up at this point and the rest of the dream goes unrecorded by my mind.
The second dream much much much longer, but with slightly more direction even though its completely fictional. I usually don't rememnber dreams as vividly as I did this one. So here goes. This one was in 3rd person perspective. It takes place on a plain grassy field. It starts off with me and a various amount of my close friends running from some shadow creatures. One of the creatures was able to keep up enough and dive to catch my leg. I tripped and went down. My friends noticed and slowed down, but acted as if there was't much they could do. A number of the creatures caught up and in deep raspy voices they proclaimed how they had me and there was nothing that could save me. I responded with their mistake was leaving my hands free. With that said, I swung both my arms forward into a single clap motion, and a large gust of wind erupted from this. The shadow creatures were blown back. I threw a quick outward motion with both arms and a giant brilliant blue energy shield surrounded us keeping the shadow creatures at bay. Everyone seemed frantic from the running and chasing but even more shocked that I was able to perform such things. The creatures continued their attack. I reassured everyone they'd be alright and then turned towards the shield. My eyes started to glow blue and I rose into the air. I muttered something under my breath and my body became shrouded in a blue flame. A giant glowing blue image roughly 12 feet tall stood in front of me. It looked as if I had conjured some orc-like spirit holding a giant battle axe. An avatar of some orc warlord from the days of olde. The avatar charged out of the shield swinging his axe with a wild malice. After a while the shadow creatures overtook the avatar and it vanished in a puff of blue smoke. The flame I was shrouded in vanished and I fell back to the ground. The shadow creatures went back to their onslaught of the shield. I looked up into the sky and whispered "Thank you grog," as if the orc lord could hear me. I turned to the group and laughed, "Looks like it's my turn. If the shield goes down for any reason or you need me, call my name and I will come back." At that moment my body changed. My face and clothes turned into a mop of blonde fur and I changed into a were-tiger like creature. I let out a ground shaking roar as if in pain and a large blade of energy came out of each fist. Like Wolverine and his claws except only one blade per hand and made purely of blue energy. I leapt out of the shield and went beserk on the first shadow creatures with in reach. Slipping into a blood rage, i fought roaring and slashing. The fight pressed on and the shadow creatures kept coming wave after wave. I didn't notice one of the shadows slip through the shield and pass through one of my friends. She fell to the ground limp as if the very essence was snatched from her. "STU!" rang through the air on a loud shrill note. I looked up towards the shield and charged through the shadows never slowing once, not even from injury. Once through the shield, I was back to my human form and kneeling next to the body with tears on my face and blood running down my body from open wounds. I whipser, "She's dead, but there's still time. Ifrit, lord of hell. Shiva, mystic of ice. I need you now more than ever." A giant chunk of ice fell from the sky and melted as soon as it hit the ground which revealed a most beautiful girl made of ice, but with the flexibility of a dancer. Shiva, the ice queen. The ground then opened and a pillar of lava shot into the air. A large beast having great horns and claws with fire on its breath leapt down from atop the pillar. Ifrit, the fire jinn. Both the entities walked up to me and I put a hand on both their shoulders in a plea of help. I turned to the group and explained, "To bring her back I need to drop the shield, so I can have enough energy. I brought Ifrit and Shiva here to help protect you, but I'll need your help to protect me during the ritual. Her life depends on it. Use these." I throw my hands downward and an array of blue energy melee weapons appeared from no where and were thrown to the ground. I dropped the shield and knelt down to the girl. I would explain the fight that ensued, but it would take way too long. It was fascinating and impressive watching everyone defend themselves and for Ifrit and Shiva to use their powers. I put one hand on her forehead and the other on her chest just below her neck. The noise of the fight became silenced as the ritual began. An eeire blue glow surrounded our bodies and my mouth opened. Little blue will o'wisps came out and entered her body where her heart would be. She snapped back to life with a gasp of breath and I held her till she moved again. The shield was then thrown back up. The rest of the shadow creatures caught inside the shield were driven out by Ifrit and Shiva. I thanked them. Ifirit grabbed Shiva by the waist threw her back to the heavens from whence she came and then opened up the ground and returned to his realm. I muttered to myself, "Can't keep this up forever. Going to have to finish this. Everyone keep back." My body became engulfed in flame and shadow and I grew. I changed shape once more but not into a were-tiger this time, but a demon of fire and shadow. Similar to that of the Balrog from the Lord of the Rings series. I let out a fiece roar and the the flame and shadow gained in intensity around my body. I looked down at the shadow creatures and lunged.
And that was when Nichols alarm went off and woke me up. Officially ruining one of the best dreams I had ever had.
I was also amazed with the blue motif of all the energy from my dream. Plus the classic struggle of good vs. evil. Light vs. shadow. Maybe I should analyze both my dreams to read into my unconscious.
