A few things, in no particular order:
Marvel's Agent Carter airs tonight, and I am simultaneously excited, hopeful, and a little terrified. Please don't screw it up, Marvel; Peggy Carter is amazing, and I want this show to be amazing too.
It looks like the new year is bringing new house repair adventures. This time, the power in the garage keeps shutting off as the breaker flips. Since this has happened repeatedly in the last few weeks (3 weeks, 3 flips) where it's not happened at all before since 2009, that tells me there's something new going on, so I have a call in to an electrician now. If I am very lucky, it will will not be as painful and expensive as last year's repairs were. If I am very, VERY lucky, we'll find that the new neighbors have added something to the circuit that's screwing with the load. Since it's affecting them too, we're all motivated to find and fix it, at least.
Everyone please keep your fingers crossed for my sister, okay? There's a potential contract or two in the wind that could be very good if either or both goes through. We should know more this week.
Finally, I got my dad an iPhone for Christmas - well, rather, I realized that he was able to get an upgrade and a new phone for free on his current plan, and demonstrated mine and let him play with it. He has one of his own now and loves it. This is going to make technical support so much easier for me, as when something goes wrong I can look at my own screen and direct him step-by-step instead of trying to guess what he's looking at.
Sometimes it's the little things.
