I'm so glad the week's almost over, but not for any particular reason. I think mostly I'm glad because I don't have to feel guilty about wanting to take a nap. This cold virus that I had for 10 days or so really knocked me flat, and although I made it through this whole week in a basically recovered state, I'm really tired.
I'm behind on my reading Wednesday posts, so I'll try to catch up with that for next week. I've done a LOT of rereading and a fair slew of new reading, several of which deserve a mention at least.
In Captain America 2: Winter Soldier news,
musesfool was able to attend a fan prescreening last night, and reports that it (the movie itself) was UTTERLY AMAZING. As she is a hardcore fan who knows the canon like the back of her hand, I am SO DELIGHTED by this that I don't have words to express, and can't wait to see it myself.
This post also serves notice that I'm now in active spoiler-avoidant mode for the next couple of weeks. Yes, I know the canon inside out. Yes, I know the historical setting from comics canon, yes I know the settings from filming reports, yes I have fairly solid theories on what direction this adaptation might take. That doesn't matter - at this point I now want to be surprised by what's actually been done, so I'm going into hibernation as far as news and spoilers go. This means I won't be on Tumblr from here until after I've seen the movie, but feel free to drop me links to things that you think I should take a look at afterwards when I'm hunting back through tags!
... I suppose I should get back to actual work now, huh? Oh well. Weekend soon!
