The subject line says it all, really. I spent at least two days this week thinking that it was a day earlier in the week than it was, to the point that I actually started wondering if I'd wandered into a time loop somehow.
("Yesterday was Tuesday, right? But today is Tuesday too!"
--Sam Winchester, "Mystery Spot")
But it's Friday now, no one died along the way, and therefore all is well. I can also now confirm that it is possible for one of my core project teams to mobilize and produce 50+ pages of high-quality data and accompanying analysis in under two days. It's not the kind of thing I'd want to do often, but it's nice to know we can manage it if we have to. Go team!
In unrelated news, defense date #1 has now moved from tentative to confirmed. Y'all think good thoughts for me on June 15, okay?
In yet more unrelated news, here are a few links that I found interesting this morning while catching up on all the reading I missed earlier this week:
- By way of Corporette, here's an infographic from the Huffington Post on which health care providers women should see according to their age.
- Jim Hines posts some statistics in support of John Scalzi's post on why 'Straight White Male' is the lowest difficulty setting in the game of life.
- When I'm feeling in need of something cute, I like to check out what's going on over at
emergencypuppy. - This week's other 'cute things' discovery, thanks to Tumblr:
hounddogsrunning.
Happy Friday, everyone.
