I survived the snowstorm this last weekend with sanity mostly intact and without freezing or falling down and breaking anything, so I feel optimistic about future storms as well. This is a good thing, because it's snowing again. Considering that the weather forecast had called for "cloudy with possible flurries," and it's been snowing lightly since about seven-thirty last night...
We're only up about an additional 2 inches of accumulation so far. It's light, fluffy snow, very pretty, the kind that works beautifully on black cloth for photos and which settles just as lightly in one's hair. Sadly, I have neither black cloth nor a camera for taking shots of ice crystals, but I did end up with enough snow in my hair during today's commute to make up for that lack. Somehow.
It's unfortunate that I don't have a camera at this particular moment, as it turns out, as I just got a request for a business-style portrait photo which will apparently need to be posted to a website somewhere. Aiee. Most of you know, I think, that I am not exactly enamored of photos of myself on any given day; I am much less so when they're apparently supposed to be used for official publication purposes and I don't actually HAVE anything that's appropriate for that.
File this under "random things I never thought I'd need." Oh well.
I wonder what'll pop out of the woodwork next?
