fannish charity, memetics, and booklogging
Since the number of post-it note reminders I have stuck up on the wall by the computer is beginning to get overwhelming, I figure it's time to go ahead and put a few of them in a post like I've been planning to do.
1. Fannish charity efforts
By now everyone who reads this is probably aware of help_haiti . (If you're not, check it out -- there's another auction coming up in February.)
Over at milliways_bar , there's a smaller-scale fundraiser going on right now. The main info post is here; my own contribution is here. Basically, I'm offering custom research services: if you have a topic or a question you need more information about, I'll look into it for you, and present you with a summary (sources cited).
2. Meme
I spotted this first over in avariel_wings 's journal:

3. Booklogging
I used to do book reviews around these parts. They were fairly informal, but if nothing else were an interesting way to keep track of what I'd been reading.
I'm considering starting these up again. I can't promise the in-depth analysis that you're likely to find over at To Bed With a Trollope or in bookelfe 's files, but hey, if it might be fun, why not?
