winter wonderlands and seasonal holidays

Yesterday it was 70 F and sunny outside.

Today (well, tonight and tomorrow) we're supposed to get nearly six inches of snow.

So it goes.

I took the day off from work today, mostly because I needed to have a span of hours in which I could do things in my own way and at my own pace without the requirements of an office setting. Mostly this means that I am wandering back and forth to the computer to do work things and other tasks in between doing laundry, watching bits and pieces of things on TV, and puttering in the kitchen.

(Hey, some people juggle geese.)

One of the things I'm doing this weekend is making my holiday mailing list. If you'd like to receive a card or other random note from me this holiday season, leave a comment! This is one of the seasonal traditions I really enjoy doing, so please don't hesitate. If I don't have your address, I'll let you know.

Of course, you could also put your postal information in this handy-dandy poll I've created for just that purpose. It's right here, see?

ETA: Hi, my name is Aspen, and I should not write code before coffee. If you're looking for a working and actually useful poll, you'll want to look over here. Thanks!

(By the way, if I missed commenting on a similar post you put up anytime in the last month, please point me there and I'll be right along!)

That's it for now; I just heard a impressive crash of falling books from the direction that the cat ran off toward a while ago, so I think I'd better stop writing and go check on things downstairs.

Maybe I'll put in a batch of cookies before coming back to edit the next paper.

Happy Friday the 13th, everyone.
