can you hear me now? good!

Based on phone type, service area, plan options, and word of mouth (including all of your comments yesterday), I ended up at Verizon last night, and walked out with a BlackBerry Storm2 and a wireless Bluetooth headset.

So far, so good. I think I'm going to like it a great deal! I'm definitely already adapting to the 'SurePress' touchscreen. Scrolling's easy, and typing is something of a cross between a keypad and pure touchscreen tech, which is a nice middle step.

(I also spent several minutes discussing the potential for an iPhone on the Verizon network with one of the staff, and came away with an estimated timeframe for that, which is far enough in the future that I think snagging a new phone now was definitely the thing to do.)

Also, it turns out that the company I work for gets major discounts on both accessories and monthly service from Verizon, which is why I now have a wireless headset and a service plan that costs far less than what I was paying before. Win-win.

Next up: setting up all the accessories, ringtones, etc., and then taking this thing on the road to test it out in rural areas.

Before then: It's Thursday, the Holy Day of SPN Obligation, and tonight's episode is going to be fabulous.

Before before then: However, work comes first. And on that note, I better hop to it.

Catch you all on the flip side.
