time just skips on by
I'm still working on individual responses, but in the meantime -- belated and yet extremely heartfelt thanks to everyone who left and sent me such beautiful birthday wishes! You are all delightful, and have totally made my week.
It amuses me that five years ago on my birthday, I was cheerfully leaping out of a plane over New Zealand, while this year sleep and statistical analysis projects took precedence. Such is the life of a graduate student, no? I'll make up for it next year. I like even-numbered birthdays better, anyway, for some inexplicable weird reason.
It did snow again, too-- although not as much this year. Strange spring.
Still it is spring, and a lovely one, at that. Right now I'm at my desk finishing some work and staring longingly out the window at all the pretty colors. Maybe I'll do that "a photographic day in the life" meme that's been floating around. That way I can share the flowers with all of you.
But for now, I'd better get back to it if I hope to have any free time ever again. Catch you all on the flip side.
