a brand new edition of "quotes out of context"
all said within twenty minutes of each other:
"no matter what day of the week it is, everyone dresses up and walks around in circles."
"they have horses? wait, no, they always have horses, don't they? **pause** why do they have horses? it's not like it's the 1930s."
"we could bring the other guy from wham! and advertise it as... the other guy from wham!"
and from earlier in the day:
"if you grew a mustache, you'd look like a river otter."
even five hours later, that last one still cracks me up. i mean, laughing out loud cracking up and people are looking at me funny.
mec meetings are fun when ramon is in charge. i need to start bringing something to write things down each week.
you might be wondering, "hey, where the hell did leslie go?" well, um... not far? i was couch-bound for a few days last week (illness this time, not injury) and i've had a harder time than i thought trying to get back into the lj-habit. it might have something to do with me having people to talk to when i get home rather than coming home to silence and talking to myself.
i watched supernatural on thursday. flailed, of course. my brother, after saying he wasn't going to watch it because he'd only seen a few episodes of season 1 and wouldn't know what was going on, went into another room and watched it (lol). i did not realize this until we both cracked up from opposite sides of the house when dean swayzied that glass. i told him that, although the story is almost always really predictable (i mean, really, who didn't see that happening?), the journey is fun. chaz agreed and said that it helps that the guys are good actors.
there was internal fan-girl proud squee at that comment.
lost starts wednesday. i imagine i will have squee or angst over it. haven't made much of a dent in the season 2 dvds, so no comment on extras.
another reason i probably don't post that much anymore is that i watch about 10x more tv living somewhere with cable than i did on my own. my schedule is the following:
mondays - (dude when did good tv start showing on mondays?!)

how i met your mother
heroes (psychic weiss!)
house of carters (though this might not last long)

wednesday

supernatural
6 degrees (though i don't think this one is going to stick)

best week ever
tomorrow is the day of excessive spending. i think i might stick with getting the killers, the decemberists and lennon's now that best buy is actually going to have it in stock. evanescense might have to wait a little while. i'm not too intrigued by the single.
john in houston is friday. john in atlanta is next friday. i wrote down all the shows i'm going to in the next month or so and it appears as follows:
oct 6 - johnny in houston
oct 13-14 - johnny in atlanta (it's going to be SO MUCH FUN!)
oct 18 - toby lightman at stubbs (selling merch)
oct 24 - the decemberists at stubbs
nov 7 - the fray at stubbs (selling merch)
nov 8 - matt nathanson at the parish
apparently i'll be living at stubbs for awhile.
and now i should work on homework because that why i bring my laptop to school in the first place.
