thank you to all the people who've wished me happy birthdays via email, text message, lj, facebook, aim, phone calls or even in person. i don't think i've had so many people wish me happy birthday. ever.
there's been cake and a decorated cubicle and birthday cards and a number of people asking me where i'm planning on drinking tonight (with an equal number of confused looks when i informed them i don't drink). there was also a phone call from a mr. ben, which caused me to squee as i looked at my caller id and nearly slide out of my chair. i've missed my ben.
the weirdest part of my birthday thus far: the "birthday card" i received in the mail from the ut health center basically saying "please don't die."
the best part of my birthday so far (just barely out doing a hug from dean, who might just be the tallest person i have ever met - i don't even come close to reaching his shoulder):

yes, my friends, I AM FUCKING AWESOME! i found out right when i got to work, remembering that grades were supposed to be due today and that's what i found. i almost screamed before running over to scarlett (who didn't realize i was even there) and telling her. this is the second 4.0 semester in a row!! **dances**
i also made me raspberry pancakes and tonight is gruene to see monte montgomery with the c&s and chris. i think, until then, i will finish the last fifty pages of ltwatw and perhaps pick up where i stopped watching the bbc movie version last night (which is hysterical, especially considering it was one of my favorite movies when i was little).
i am officially off work until jan. 3. **twirls**
