Anyone know this?

So I actually have a requirement for a class to have a blog. How.. new and progressive. So I sat down and thought "hey, I have a LiveJournal. That's similar to a blog. I wonder if that'll work?" I ask my teacher and he says fine, so long as I can RSS feed to it. Ookay, I have no idea WHAT an RSS feed is, so can anyone tell me if I can do that on LiveJournal? Thanks muchly!
