This year I'm doing it!
Ok, I've done it, I've signed up for NaNoWriMo. I think it's been 3-4 years since I last did so I'm excited. Now I just need to focus on narrowing down my ideas so I can write the story I want. I'm not going to be doing the stories of Ironfist because I think with that story I wound up making a huge mistake in not giving the characters any conflicts to actually have to deal with. and really, I don't want to be Stephenie Meyer.
I think I came up with those characters at such a young age that I just didn't have the heart to be a sadist in writing them.
So, I have some options. I can try to write the story of Nicholas that I wanted to develop, but I don't feel I can get him quite right, especially because I haven't even decided what he is exactly and what all it means for him. Or I could try a whole new story from scratch. Just write and see what I come with.
I have a week to figure this out. But I'm sure I'll come up with something. not like I have much better to do around here until I get some work again.
