No. Job as a violinist performer always required stuffy suits, while he's still dressy on off days he is still a bit more casual.

He took hobby in oil painting but lost the drive and time for it. He likes to make clothing accessories and gained further interest in it; enough to bother a Ruby to help him get better at it.

In between. He is not deathly shy and doesn't mind talking, but neither does he actively look for conversation like an extrovert would.

Became pretty depressed in the summer time, or more so, it reawawkened out of the bottle he stuffed it into for many years. In some areas, he deals with it poorly (Being angry kind of moody, and avoiding his boyfriend most of the time when it arises in vain attempts to protect his feelings/well being, when it would actually help both.) but in other areas good. He tries to spread his support pool rather than strain only his boyfriend and is making new friends, gaining new hobbies to focus excelling in, and just burning his energy on fairly positive things.
He didn't make the effort to make friends before now.
He's recovering from these issues at a moderately good pace now.

His dad is a very busy man, playing the violin was one of the very few ways to get his attention. When he was younger his dad used to be around most of the time---he missed him a lot before it developed into resentment close to adulthood. His mother he did not grow up with but saw through visitation rules. He finds her weird but he loves her, and likes to spend time with her. He can't help but wonder if she ever put the effort to try to see him more or at least obtain him for longer periods of time.

No siblings but "Blue" who was like his older sister. They were later separated when she decided to peruse whatever it is she wanted to do(Party popstar) and Silver himself got increasingly busier. Blue later became too party crazed and it went downhill from there.

No to both.

Troubling enough the resolve is getting stronger and on a magic island...that can be complex.
