Last night Beau and I went out a ways out of town to see if we could see the northern lights. Apparently Sunday night they were incredible...but none were to be seen Monday night. I was rather disappointed because I've never seen northern lights, but I really enjoyed my time with Beau.
When I picked up Beau he had a small park in mind where we could park, but I missed the turnoff and wasn't able to turn around. I ended up having to get on the interstate and we drove until we got to the small town of Hills, which I didn't know existed. It kind of reminded me of the time Tom and I drove all the way out to Solon looking for a party that ended up being right in Iowa City, but I digress. Beau and I eventually got back on course and made it to the park-only to find no northern lights. We put the back seats in my station wagon down and laid down in the back to watch the sky and just had a nice talk about things. I haven't seen much of Beau lately. When I dropped Beau off at the Gasby's, Dan and Patrick were there waiting for him. Dan asked if he could give me a call sometime so we could talk about things. I have no idea what there is for us to talk about...he's still homeless...what an idiot...
I hate driving.
I was cast as the mother of the bride in the Large Group Speech One Act "Bridal Terrorism". I can't say I'm surprised at the role I was given, but I'm definitely not complaining, I'm quite pleased. The script is really quite funny and Hartwig cast the roles quite well. I really hope we make All-State because this time I'd feel like I actually contributed and deserved to be there, as opposed to the time when I was an extra. I wish music All-State was more like drama All-State because at music All-State you work hard enough that you're too tired to enjoy staying at a hotel to its full extent. Actually, no, I take that back. Last year's drama All-State wasn't so much fun, but I blame that on the people being no fun. This year WILL be better...no choice, people.
I'm super excited about being in David's film...I'm amazed at the amount of acting I'm doing this year, especially since I've never taken it remotely seriously. Jordan Smelly asked if I would be part of an extra ensemble with him too. I guess there are people who think I'm decent...fun stuff.
Should I drop abnormal psych for next tri? I'll probably end up taking something like it in college and I truly feel like I have enough homework already without those incessant worksheets Mrs. Green gives you day after day. I need some opinions of those who have taken this class.
Why do I keep staying up so damn late?
