On one hand, I'm so grateful for it. Freya's only as able to communicate as she is because of Baby Signing Time. We have actively watched her learn a new sign by watching the DVD more times than from watching us do it over and over and over. I still think that if there was a Baby Signing Time song with Mommy/Daddy she'd probably sign it, because despite getting up to about 30 signs now, she doesn't sign either. Those were the first signs we started trying to teach her. She knows "bus" and "car" but not Mom/Dad.
On the other hand, man, these DVDs can get on my nerves. After the 30th watch-through of the same disc (there are only 4 BST dvds, and we've lost #3 somewhere), you start to go insane. I try to just tolerate them, but the problem is that Freya gets bored if you aren't also paying attention to it. So you can't just zone out or do shit on your phone. No, you have to sit there and sign and sign along, and say stuff like "oooo!" and if she turns to look at you, you have to be looking at the TV or her, nothing else.
Been a big day of BST. Freya seems to be getting sick, and I'm so tired I feel sick. I can't believe how tired I am all the time. I really hate being this tired.
