This Is How It's Done

I wondered how people would put out artwork like one right after the other, seemingly effortlessly. Now, I totally know. Because custom brushes rule the world. I actually had dreams last night that basically incorporated custom brushes in every way it could. And I joked with Anji yesterday how I was going off to play with custom crutches, er, brushes...and it's true. It's so easy to see how you just crutch along with custom brushes. BUT. I also now understand how speed paint is possible. Shortcuts is what speedpainting is.

Mind you, almost all of my favorite work on deviantArt is obviously very minimal in it's custom brushes, but, they're still there. I can see them now even better than before.

Speaking of seeing them better...I'd like to show the art I worked on today. So far, I've only put three and a half hours into it.

I suggest going into the big version so you can see the detail that is already present, and what has yet to be put in. I got the idea for this weeks ago, and wrote it down. I figured I didn't have the capabilities to realize it just yet, but maybe someday. Well. That day is now, thanks to my new best friends--CUSTOM BRUSHES. =D

happiness, art
